A judge is an appointed or elected expert who presides over court trial and judicial proceedings for the purpose of making decisions. His/her responsibilities also include reviewing laws and regulations, making judgments and opinions on cases, and overseeing the work of other court officials and legal clerks, meeting with lawyers to discuss cases and help resolve disputes, establish court procedures, etc.
